It features a beautiful koa patterned high pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides in combination with solid sitka spruce.
What is HPL you ask?
One day, while walking through the factory, Chris Martin saw the bits and pieces of leftovers from cutting wood and realised it can be utilised to something good.
This evolved to the HPL which is used on the this guitar.
HPL is light, cost effective and most important, sounds different and nice. Combined with a solid Spruce top, X-1 bracing and the vast experience and quality of Martin's craftsmanship, the DCPA5K is a very lively, natural sounding guitar with a lot of power and loudness.
A key feature making the Martin DCPA5K a great performing guitar is the Fishman F-1 pickup system it comes with. It is such a simple pickup to use and the result is great with no hassle.
Also the tuner comes handy and reacts fast when in use.
