The X series by Martin is a more affordable series of guitars from a well renowned maker.
What does that mean? It means you get something good for your money.
One day, while walking through the factory, Chris Martin saw the bits and pieces of leftovers from cutting wood and realised it can be utilised to something good.
This evolved to the HPL which is used on the X series.
HPL is light, cost effective and most important, sounds different and nice. Combined with a solid Spruce top, X-1 bracing and the vast experience and quality of Martin's craftsmanship, you get a good sounding guitar.
DX1KAE is very natural, warm sounding guitar.
